Armed Forces Veteran Lead is Dr Nitish Sahoo
Dr Sahoo will offer advice and support and will be able to signpost our Military community to the services they may require. Please let the practice know if you have served in the Armed Forces as a Regular, Reservist or Adult Volunteer Cadet.
The practice works with Sunderland CCG Armed Forces Leads and Veterans in Crisis Sunderland to ensure those who have served or currently serving in the Military have access to information across the city on services and support that is available.
We are proud to support our Armed Forces Community.
We put veterans and their families in touch with the organisations best placed to help with the advice and support they need. There is a huge network of organisations supporting the Armed Forces community, so finding the right one for your needs can be tricky. We make it quick and easy by being your first point of contact for whatever support you need, whether you are based in the UK or abroad.
Who is part of Veterans’ Gateway?
Veterans’ Gateway is made up of a consortium of organisations and Armed Forces charities, including The Royal British Legion, SSAFA – the Armed Forces charity, Poppyscotland, Combat Stress and Connect Assist. Funded by The Armed Forces Covenant, this is the first time a group of this kind has come together formally to deliver a service to help the Armed Forces community.
